I've been transplated to Colorado 10 years ago, even though I love it here, it's not like back home. I got to spend 10 days back in Southern California with my three younger kids and we absolutely had an amazing time. I got to see one of my younger cousins get married, the wedding was beautiful! My parents, sister and her fiancé flew to be there as well. It was a mini family reunion, I got to see almost everyone, I got to spend some quality time with my cousins (who I love and treasure dearly) and the Pacific Ocean. Gawd, I love the BEACH! My cousin's wedding was actually one of the main reasons why I wanted to just focus on Weddings, it wasn't your typical traditional wedding. So much to say and write about it... It really struck me. My beliefs, values and reasons behind marriage. It was beautiful! I loved the location, the lighting and the vibrance!
There is something about me when I touch the sand and the pacific. I feel complete, at ease and in complete serenity. I love the ocean, I've been around the ocean all my life, I can't imagine myself being away from it for a long period of time. Don't get me wrong, I have the beautiful rocky mountains here, but to me, it's not the same.... It's kind of hard to explain.
Yes, Colorado has grown in me, I own a snowboard, Burton gear, Subaru, Oakley's, hiking boots, Sorel and a Columbia jacket. I have found my serenity here as well, the mountains! I love the outdoors, people here are nice, we have amazing breweries and so much more! Don't get me wrong, I love Colorado! But, honestly.... I am very much happy with just owning flip flops, jeans, shorts and tank tops all year round. He he. I think having your family close makes a huge difference on where you live. It feels like home. I'm thankful that my immediate family and close friends are here in Colorado with me. Colorado is home, but California will always have my heart.
It was a great vacation, I got my temporary family, friends and beach fix. I am so thankful that I got to have some R&R time and just inhaling it all in and recharge. Until next time! The kids and I had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back! Also, I am so happy to announce that I'll be a Southern California Photographer and Colorado Mountain Photographer! I will take every chance I get to come back!
